NH Farm to School Summer Institute

The NH Farm to School Summer Institute is being offered this June 2020 for selected teams from New Hampshire communities who are committed to increasing access of local, healthy food options in their school cafeterias, hospitals, and other community locations. The Summer Institute is part of the “Beacon Communities” pilot project, which has been working with Somersworth, Nashua, and Colebrook to advance community goals of creating healthy communities and increasing access to local foods. Located at UNH in Durham, the Summer Institute will include three days of team building, hands-on activities,  practical skill building, and great food and fun!  Read more.

  • 3 days of workshops, hands on activities, and team planning time at the UNH Durham campus
  • Lessons learned from Beacon Community project and our first two institutes
  • Share and learn from the other community teams
  • Connect to leaders in the state who can support your work including the Beacon Community partner organizations, their resources and networks
  • All meals and campus lodging are provided
  • Follow up and post-institute support from NH Farm to School

Selected teams will be announced by April 3, 2020!
       
There is a required pre-institute meeting with your team in your community in April/May 2020
